After the physician completes the Physician Statement, the state application fee is paid directly to the Montana DOR through Montana's TAP portal. The clinic does not collect any portion of the state fee. A printable temporary card is available immediately from TAP after submission.

After your appointment: Apply through Montana's TAP portal, submitting the Physician Statement, Montana ID, photo, and state fee directly to DOR. Print your temporary card immediately from TAP and use it at any licensed Montana dispensary statewide. Your permanent 1-year registry card is mailed upon DOR approval. Medical cardholders purchase at the reduced 4% state tax rate and may cultivate 4 mature plants + 4 seedlings at a private residence.
